以下照片是幼儿在课堂上的活动过程:
《交通工具大集合》
教学目标:
1.学会唱歌《坐火车》。
2.认识火车的外形结构。
  3.认读词语:火车。

       小朋友们跟着老师学唱歌曲后,准备开始自己来演唱。“准备好了吗?小朋友们。”老师问。“好了!”准备参与表演的小朋友一边回答,一边握紧双手,装出准备开车的样子。



      幼儿们一边唱歌一边做动作。“火车快飞、火车快点飞,穿过高山(马上做出”穿“的动作),越过小溪(又赶快换“越”的动作)·····。”瞧,他们表演得多么的投入!


此时小朋友们正在搬演故事《会滚动的汽车》的活动。看看他们的活动过程吧!
 

幼儿们都取得了自己的角色后,故事扮演开始。扮演“滚动汽车”的Yamone在“马路”上来回地滚动着。其他的扮演着都拿着自己的道具在旁准备。


     “ 会滚动的汽车”正在马路上滚着,扮演“小鸡”的伟琦喊道:“会滚动的汽车,停一停!请你带我回家,好吗?”“好呀!请上车!”Yanone回答。伟琦就将“小鸡”跳入了车内。   


扮演“小鸭”的思淇看到“滚动的汽车”,大声的喊道:“会滚动的汽车,停一停!请你带我回家,好吗?”“好呀好呀。请上车。”接着白鹅等小动物也都上了车。


       “滚动的汽车”遇到了狐狸。扮演狐狸的嘉熙狡猾的喊道:哎呀,肚子疼了!”好心的“滚动的汽车”停下来让它上了车,结果小动物都被吃了。生气的“汽车”惩罚了“狐狸”救出了小动物。幼儿们都欢呼了起来!


在本单元里幼儿还学到了不少的词语和句型:
如词语有:火车、乘客、轮子、巴士等等。
口述句型:
1.能······不能······。
2.从······到······。
3.马路上可以看到              等。

What were the children up to during the June holidays?

In My First Skool, lessons still go on for our children even during the June holidays.
When lessons for the term are over, children continue with revision on previous taught lessons and spend most of their time working in the various learning centres.

One of the lessons that children enjoyed more was the lesson on "My Monster".
In this lesson, children recapped about the different parts of the body that they have already learnt and reflected on each of their functions. The most interesting part of the lesson was when they had the opportunity to create their own monster using play dough. They learnt that monsters were different from human beings as they could have more than two hands, two eyes, two legs and such. Let's take a look at what they have created! :P



Lu Young and his "scrambled monster" as he named it.

Wen Xin said her monster had four legs!

Angel's monster had four legs, six hands and even a pair of wings!

Xander said his monster was a messy one!

Yu Le wanted her monster to look just like a normal human being.

Princess said her monster had eyes flying everywhere!

Ethan said his monster had its heads chopped off! Ouch! That was scary, Ethan!

"My monster has so many eyes!" said Jia Xi.

Look at that big smile on Ya An's countenance! She was definitely proud of her monster!

Wow! Dion has created a beautiful monster!

Now, what were the children up to at the learning centres?

Ya An was at the Science Centre. She was observing her picture and was comparing herself with her peers.

Yamone was drawing a picture of herself as she observed her facial features carefully from the photograph.
Yan Xi was practicing writing the letters of the alphabet nicely and neatly, making sure he wrote them with the correct strokes.

Dion was painting at the Art Centre. Yes, she was painting a beautiful rainbow.

Hao Zhe was expressing himself through creative painting!

Rexanne and Yu Le were having some peer learning session together. They were testing each other to name the different body parts that they have learnt and read the word cards as well.

Meanwhile, Wen Xin and Xander were enhancing their fine motor muscles by creating different letters of the alphabet using play dough. This activity was a popular one amongst the children.

Ya An went on to the Language Centre after finishing her task at the Science Centre. She was writing on the spelling of words like 'eye', 'nose' and 'face'.

Now, Fang Fei and Dion were playing together with the magnets. There were different kinds of magnets namely round magnets, horseshoe magnets and bar magnets. Fang Fei was testing if the bar magnet could attract the paper clip. What do you think?

Jia Xi was engaged in this game called "Matching picture to word".

Aniq was observing the inside of his mouth using a torchlight and a mirror.
After that, he tried drawing what he had observed. Good try, Aniq!

活动名称:《我的脚》
教学目标:

1.让孩子认识脚的功能。
2.学会念儿歌《跳绳歌》。
3.学会口述句型:我用脚······。
4.
学会认读词语:大腿、小腿、脚趾、脚踝、膝盖。


“谁来说说脚的作用?”老师问道。“我知道,脚能走路。我用脚来走路。”胤麟说完在同学面前表演了起来



思淇说:“老师,我知道脚还能跑步。” “那你用你的脚跑给大家看看吧! ”老师对她说。接着她站起来认真地在课堂小跑了几步。



“我喜欢踢球,我用脚踢球。”卢旸说完拿起老师准备的球,在同学的面前表演起踢球来



这时玟馨也接着说:“脚也能跳。老师,我用脚来跳给大家看,好吗?”
“好的。”老师回答道。然后她在同学面前开心地跳跃着。





“老师,我知道脚还能跳舞呢!”宇乐举起手说着。 “那你来跳一下给大家看看。”老师向她提出了要求。她迟疑了一会儿,在大家的鼓励下,害羞地秀了一个舞蹈动作。




胤麟完成了自己的自画像后,对老师问道:“老师,我可以拿剪刀剪出来了吗?” “可以呀!不过使用剪刀时要小心。”老师回答道。然后他接过老师递过来的剪刀,沿着图像的铅笔线慢慢地剪了起来。




“我也画好了,现在我要开始剪了。”嘉熙对嘉声说道。“我还没有画好。”嘉声有点着急地说着。这时的嘉熙已经拿起剪刀,开始小心翼翼地剪了起来。



胤麟能根据老师给的指示,将图像摆放好,然后拿起浆糊认真地粘贴了起来



这时的嘉熙也将图像剪完了。他拿起浆糊把头、躯干、手和脚,按着身体的顺序粘贴了起来。





“老师,我贴完了! ”胤麟对着老师说。“那你贴的你正在用脚做什么呢?”老师问道。“我用脚走路。”他一边回答,一边还不忘拿起作品展示。




另外一组的敬楷也完成了自己的作品。完成后的他对老师说道:“老师,我的是用脚踢球。”然后还展示了他的作品。




本单元所学的词语:
身体、躯干、头、手、大腿、小腿、脚趾、膝盖、手掌、手指、手腕等等
从而让孩子认识到了身体各部位的名称。
量词:一张、一个、一只

Learning Journey

The Learning Journey in Kindergarten 1

In My First Skool, teachers as early childhood educators believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences. Children here learn through a science-based curriculum, where they observe and discover the environment around them. Through such curriculum, children will eventually acquire some basic process skills like observing, experimenting, predicting, comparing, classifying and asking questions.

One such example is a lesson on “Sifting Flour”. In this lesson, children experimented with flour and could come up with some characteristics of flour such as “soft”, “smooth”, “slippery like powder”, “pleasant smell” and more. At the same time, children learnt about the different types of sieves; those with bigger holes and those with smaller holes. They tried to predict that the flour
will be sifted faster in the sieve with the bigger holes as it was easy for flour to “travel” down.



Yamone was feeling the flour with both her bare hands, telling the teacher that the flour felt “soft and nice”.



Tiffany was amused as she touched the flour. " So soft! I like it!" she said.


Aniq seemed to enjoy himself as he experimented with the flour. " This is like poweder!" he exclaimed.


Yu Le was good at sifting the flour. She could steadily move the sieve from left to right without spilling the flour.




Yu Le and Hao Zhe were having fun experimenting the flour with their sense of touch.




Aniq,Tiffany and Zavier were seen following the pictorial instructions in sequence to mix the different ingredients together.




Baking Cupcakes
In another lesson, children had the opportunity to bake their own cupcake. As they
went through the process of baking, they were facilitated to predict outcomes
when they mixed certain ingredients together. To reach this goal, the teacher
asked questions while they were working on it. This not only increased their
level of critical thinking, it also helped these children to communicate and
interact better with adults.




Yamone and Rakin were counting to themselves, “One, two, three…” as they added the different ingredients into their bowls.




Jia Xi was busy stirring the mixture of butter and sugar.




These children were very task-oriented. They were focused when mixing the different ingredients together.
