The theme for the K1 curriculum for Term 1 is Myself. As part of the lesson, children learnt a rhyme called ‘ME’. Children were able to recite the rhyme and these two children, Walt and Zane were able to read and put the sentence strips of the rhyme in sequence. Zane said, "Look! Walt, I have found the last sentence which says,'Who looks just like me’."
Adora, Ivalyn and Si Zhu successfully completed the rhyme by arranging the jumble up words.
Ivalyn said,”I need the word ‘do’ for the next sentence!
Children were doing the activity called ‘Make a face with dough’. Children used cake bases and different coloured plasticine to form their own faces. Children added on details like eyelashes, eyebrows, eyeballs and hair to their ‘faces’. Sunny, Adora, XingMeng and Zane were deeply engrossed in doing this activity.
Xing Meng was rolling a ball with her hands to make 'eyes' for her 'face' and 'nose'.
Adora and Sunny were busy making 'eyelashes'.
Zane, Adora and Sunny were putting their final touches to their artwork.
Children showing their completed handiwork! Children were given ample time to do this activity and all of them were happy and completely satisfied with their final product.
